What we do
Music Connection is a mobile marketplace for buying and selling new and used
musical instruments — guitars, violins, trumpets, synthesizers, basses and more.
Sellers photograph and list their instruments; buyers browse nearby listings,
negotiate in-app, and pay securely. We never take possession of instruments;
we protect the transaction itself.
How payments work
Buyer pays. The buyer's payment is collected and held by Music Connection — it is not sent to the seller yet.
Instrument ships. The seller ships the instrument to the buyer.
Buyer confirms delivery. Only then is the seller's payout released, minus our fee.
Something's wrong? If the instrument doesn't arrive or isn't as described before delivery is confirmed, the buyer is refunded in full.
Payments are processed by Stripe.
Card details are entered securely in the app and sent directly to Stripe — they
never touch our servers. Seller payouts are delivered by Stripe to the seller's
bank account once the seller finishes Stripe's payout setup.

Terms of service
Listings must accurately describe the instrument, its condition and any defects, with your own photos.
Music Connection does not verify listings, sellers, serial numbers or the condition of any instrument. Buyers should ask questions and inspect before confirming delivery.
Sellers complete Stripe payout setup before any money is sent to them.
Buyers may cancel for a full refund until the seller marks the instrument sent. After that, a problem is raised as an issue; the money stays held while Music Connection reviews it and decides between a refund and a payout.
Buyers should confirm delivery promptly; held payments are released to the seller on confirmation.
Music Connection holds funds in escrow but is not a party to the sale contract between buyer and seller.
Content policy & seller agreement
There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Every seller accepts this agreement before posting.
Never allowed: stolen instruments, counterfeits or replicas sold as genuine, items made from protected species (e.g. Brazilian rosewood or ivory without valid CITES papers), weapons, drugs, or anything that isn't a musical instrument or accessory.
No harassment, hate speech, threats, sexual content, spam, scams or attempts to take payment outside the app.
Serial numbers are supplied by sellers and are not checked by Music Connection. Listing a stolen instrument is reported to the authorities.
Every listing, conversation and profile has a Report button, and any member can be blocked, which hides their listings and stops them messaging you.
We review every report within 24 hours. Offending content is removed and accounts that break these rules are banned.
Privacy
We collect only what's needed to run the marketplace: account details you
provide, listing content you upload, and transaction records. Payment data is
handled exclusively by Stripe under its own privacy policy. We never sell your
personal information. You may request deletion of your account and data at any time.
AI appraisals. When you appraise an instrument, and only after you agree in
the app, the photo and the category you chose are sent through the Rork AI gateway
to Google Gemini (with Anthropic Claude or OpenAI as backups) to produce the estimate.
No name, account or location is sent with it. Appraisals and your vault stay on your device.
Content filtering. Listings and messages are automatically checked for
prohibited language and off-app payment requests before they're published.
